Located at the entrance to Mount Koya, it was a place of worship to be visited before making a visit of respect up the mountain. The thing that catches one's eye is the "Rinkyo", a bridge crossed by Gods which is said to have been received from Yodogimi. The view of the Romon from the Rinkyo makes a perfect photo spot.
"God-dog Suzuhime" is a Kishu dog consecrated in December 2017 in dedication to the God-dog who led Kobo-Daishi Kukai to the shrine. He visits the shrine on the 16th of every month and is free to greet the public afterwards. Please check the homepage for the schedule.
